What is the usual linksys password when hacking a network?

Q. I have no internet connection but I am able to connect to other wireless unsecured internet connections because i have a labtop. But, some connections are security enabled which basically means that they require a password. People say that the basic password for a linksys network is admin or a specific number but it doesn't work. Can someone PLEASE help me out?!! Best anser will recieve 10 points, i promise!

Q. Im trying to access my Linksys Router by 192.168.1.1 but it's just bringing me to my Verizon modems. Does anyone have any experience with this?

How to open linksys firmware update on Imac?

Q. I just went to the linksys webpage and updated the firmware to 1.02.5 but the file never opened and said choose an application to open it. What would I used to open this file on an imac and set it up?

A. Don't open it just click cancel. Then go to 192.168.1.1 or what ever your router's ip is. Then log in, the default password is usually admin for name and a blank password or reverse it blank name and admin for the password. On the most common router, the WRT54G you click on administration on the top and then firmware upgrade. Then click choose file and click on the unopened .bin file. DO NOT uncompressed the .bin file it must be the original compressed .bin file or you could ruin the router!.

Q. Hello. How do I go about shutting off the wireless feature of my Linksys WRT160N Router (Wireless-N Broadbrand Router)? I am not sure if this particular router has the option or not. I may be wrong. Please help me. I do not need the wireless running right now. I am only using the wired Ethernet ports at this time. Disabling this feature will help me in terms of security. A. Access the setup page of the router by launching an
Browser and type on the address bar, 192.168.1.1 and press enter. When
it prompts for the username and password, leave the username field
empty and provide password as "admin" (Without quotes)
click on ok.

Click on Wireless Tab & Select the wireless network mode to disable.

This would disable the wireless features of the router.
