Been using a Netgear WN111 Wireless USB adaptor and now it stopped working, even after reinstall. Help?
I have reinstalled software but the computer will not even allow me to open the program. Tried doing a system restore as far back as a month but the computer is not allowing me to restore to any of the previous points. Virus maybe? Any thoughts?
netgear answers:
How long have you had it? Its possible it just stopped working out of old age.
Also, if you know who made it, you could try looking up a driver.

I purchased a netgear wn111 wireless adapter. Please help me install.?
I explained to the seller that I needed it for a computer that did not have access. He said download the drivers to my computer that currently has internet through a wireless router and then I only need to plug it in to the other computer. Is it that simple? I did everything that he described...but it doesn't work. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? TY.
netgear answers:
Download it to the computer that has internet access, THEN TRANSFER IT TO THE ONE THAT DOESN'T. Install the driver. Plug in adapter.

why won't my netgear WN111 Rangemax router connect to the internet?
I am using a Netgear WN111 Rangemax wireless route on my windows 2000pro laptop. The software is installed, connects fine with our home network, but will not connect to the Internet.
we have road runner as our main internet provider. My WN111 Rangemax is connected to the router, but it will not connect with the internet. When I first bought the USB adapter I tried in out on one of our desktop pcs and it worked well. Any ideas on what my problem could be
netgear answers:
The WP111 is an N type USB adaptor for the laptop. It should be able to connect with a B or G type wifi router but the router would have to be set for mixed modes.
Also while the N type wifi has better range it still can be affected by walls, floors, appliances etc. Which reduce the signal.

netgear wireless adapter WN111 connectivity problem?
i have one of my pc connected to my verizon dsl router. my other pc has netgear wireless adapter WN111 but it wont connect to my router or itll just say limited connectivity. I dont think its the router because my psp nd my laptop will connect to it. Plz help!!! What can i do to fix this problem
netgear answers:
It is not your router,The first thing i would do is check to make sure nothing is in the path of your router to adapter and to check the range of the adapter.
Second i would uninstall the adapter program and re-install the driver and program and try to connect again. If that does not work go into control panel and go into network connections and make sure you have you adapter connected and not disabled. If this does not work trouble shoot your adapter by going Netgear website and talk to customer service
