How do I connect my Nintendo DS to my Netgear WNDR 3700?
I get as far as WEP code needed...I can't figure out what the code is supposed to be.
netgear answers:
I myself had trouble to connect it too, so my choice was to disable the WEP key and choose for MAC-filtering.
Steven asks…
can a wifi router serve as a reciever for my wireless mouse?
router: netgear wndr 3700; OS: windows xp; mouse: still looking for any wireless mouse
netgear answers:
Sure if you can find out the Frequency it is on and then have your Router dedicate an I.P address to it.
But this would cause your router to donate most of its time to the mouse which in turn would cause your router to run at a min. Speed.
Not worth the work or time.
Chris asks…
Why does my new notebook work on a wireless 802.11g network and not 802.11n?
Just purchased a new Asus K53E laptop. Comes with windows 7 and a built in "N" network adapter. I had installed months ago a Netgear 3700 N router. The laptop connects very badly, drops connections, fails ping tests, when it does have internet connection it loads pages at very slow speeds, and usually doesn't complete a page load.
To see if my problem was in the laptop or network, i went down to my local starbucks... works great on their public G network, very fast page loads, no dropped connections.
went home, reconnected an old Lynksys 2.4ghz G router and all is good, laptop works great, just like at starbucks.
the problem is that now my son's desktop that has a fast 1GB ethernet NIC connection, now is only operating at the max port speed of the 5 year old lynsys (100MB).
How do I solve this problem? whats the best way to get the 1GB to the desktop and still have a functioning (and fast) wireless like with the lynksys G router?
p.s. I did load all the latest drivers on the laptop and the latest firmware on the netgear N router.. no improvement.
thanks
netgear answers:
I would suggest that you change the channel your wireless router is broadcasting on. You can do this normally by accessing its web interface. It is most likely being interfered with by a neighbours router on the same channel.

Router Question.......................?
DrayTek Vigor 2830Vn or Netgear DGND 3700?
netgear answers:
When it comes to networking equipment, get Cisco.
I have had many wireless routers, and Cisco is be far the most reliable, easy to use, and just all around better.
