The processor is excellent, but without dedicated graphics it sucks.
You want something with nVidia GeForce 555M or higher graphics.

Is this laptop good for gaming?
First off i would like to say that my current laptop is ok and will only play some games at very lowest settings. i want to get a new laptop for just games and being 15 i cannot afford a high end gaming one. Im pretty sure i know a bit about computers and i found a good cheap one and was wondering if it really is good for games. I really want one that will play The Old Republic that is coming out in the future.

i will also be expanding the the ram to 8gb. thanks in advance for any answers one more thing the software i would be using is the latest sony vegas software.
After reading some of the answers I would like to add that I prefer using a pc over mac. Also its going to be for casual editing its more of a hobby so nothing too hardcore. Just making. Montages and gameplay videos with little effects such as adding moving titles and such. And maybe the occasionall casual game such as sims3

Yes this computer is suitable to for video editing because it has a power processor to tackle demanding applications, upgrading the ram to 8GB will show some performance improvement on the laptop. But if your doing really intensive work I suggest purchasing a laptop with a better graphics cards because intel hd isn't recommended, you can experiment with it though. Intel graphics cards tend to be weak ati and nividia are the leading innovations for image display. As long as you don't go overboard with extreme video editing the graphics card should be able to handle it depending on graphic demand. Since you specified that it's going to be for casual editing then this computer is certainly suitable for that need, light- high end gaming is good for this computer. All the best :)
