netgear answers:

Make sure your netgear is set to allow wireless connections from anyone, or add the wireless devices to the allowed devices list by their MAC address.

Thomas asks…

Please please please tell me how to connect iphone 3g to netgear router?

recently my iphone has stopped detecting my netgear router - the network name wont even appear when i search fo it - this has only happened recently. other devices in the housr are picking up the wireless signal and my iphone will pick up a signal in friends houses.

Ive tried the usual stuff such as reseting router and reseting iphone network settings

netgear answers:

Go to settings>general >reset network settings.

Daniel asks…

My iPhone 3gs wireless is really slow, I got it tested and it goes around 5KB/s. Using DG834g (netgear) router?

I'm thinking it's something to do with a firewall from windows or my netgear DG834g Router. Should I open ports?

Ken asks…

can you connect an iphone to a wireless G router, or do you have to have a "wifi" router?

I bought a netgear wireless G router so that I could use my iphone wifi, but do you have to have a "wifi" router? Will my iphone be able to connect to a regular wireless G router? If so, how do I set it up with a password and make it invisible to others?

netgear answers:

A wireless g is a wifi router. Look in your setup book to see how to setup a password. You can't make your network invisible though you can protect it with password locking. Lastly if your iphone has wifi capabilities (idk cuz i don't have one) it will connect as long as you remember the password.
