How do I disable Netgear WNR3500L firewall?
We recently upgraded to a new router, and I frequently used to play games online, including Blizzard Entertainment's StarCraft: Brood War. After the router upgrade, I found myself being unable to host games, and my friend told me it was because of the firewall. I need to disable the firewall on the router, and all the networked computers have software firewalls already. Is there anything we can do to disable the firewall?

why doesn't wpa2 work with repeater mode on my netgear wnr3500l router?
I would like to know the whole scoop as to why thanks
netgear answers:
You ask for the "whole scoop" but do not provide the details for anything other than a broad brush outline. You'll need to enable WDS on all relevant devices - the access point and all the repeaters. That supposes that they each support WDS and because WDS differs between chipset manufacturers, that they are all compatible with each other. Since we only know about a single device how on earth are we supposed to comment about those other devices?

Should I go with the Netgear WNR3500L or WNDR3400?
I ordered the WNR3500L, but I'm thinking about exchanging it for the WNDR3400 because it has dual band. Both routers are exactly the same price. In my household we have 2 desktops, 2 laptops, and a ps3. I use use wi-fi occasionally, so I would like to be able to access it anywhere in the house when I do so. My house is about 1,300sq/ft and we have 2 floors. I noticed that the WNDR3400 does not have gigabit ethernet. Would it really make a difference? My PC is equipped with a gigabit port so I could use it. My internet speed is 2.6-3Mbps. Would going with the WNDR3400 without gigabit hinder the speed for the 2 desktops using wired connectivity? And, would I be able to access have good signal strength throughout my household without dual band. I am upgrading from a linksys BEFSR41 and WAP54G access point because they both broke.

I have a Netgear WNR3500L wireless router, my problem is I can connect it to the computer, every thing says its working but when I try to use the internet it loads then says it cant load the page. All the lights are green but I'm not getting any internet.
What can I do?
I've connected and reconnected the router and modem, turned off the power, unplugged it, and pretty much done what I can think of.
What can you guys come up with?

Call your internet provider, and ask for support.
