why wont the channel change from the default channel on my netgear WGR614 v6 router?

i try to change it from 6 to 1 or 11 but it updates and just puts it back at 6

Make sure you "save" any changes you make in the router config., then reset the router.
Only the router can set the channel, all wireless adapters just follow whatever the router says....

Yes - but you must use the Ethernet connections
Connect it this way

Modem >> router Wan Port

Router LAN port >> Computer

Where >> are Ethernet Patch Cords

Just ditch the USB - Ethernet is faster anyway

does anyone have frimware version 1.1.11 (xbox live) for netgear router wgr614 v6?

i was wondering if anyone has the firmware 1.1.11 for the north american version of the netgear wgr614 v6 they dont have it at the netgear site and i did find a foreign version but that wont work
