Michael asks…
What's an ISP login and password? I need that to get a connection through my netgear router. help?
After the cd setup for my Netgear router, I'm sent to routerlogin.com (or http://192.168.###.### i don't know the numbers)
The Settings Wizard detected that I have a PPPoE connection. Then I'm asked for a Login and Password. It also has "Service Name (if required)"
I don't know what to put in there. I tried mikelaguna@sbcglobal.net [the email i made when i first joined at&t] and mikelaguna. I left the service name field blank. This didn't work. Then I tried login: mikelaguna and the service name: sbcglobal.net That didn't work either. service name: sbcglobal or att or at&t. none worked.
I called at&t tech support to see if i had forgotten about another ISP password. the guy hadn't a clue about any password, username, login, anything. Can anyone tell me what to do?
p.s. i've already set the SSID and WEP key in another page. It's just that login thing that prevents me from getting a conneciton.
The router is connected via ethernet cable to the desktop i'm using right now. I want to start the wireless connection to get internet on my laptop.
netgear answers:
I think AT&T has live customer support chat, so maybe that would be the best thing for you. They know your password anyway.
Peace!
