I want to log on to the internet with an iPad through my WiFi system but have forgotten the password?
I am trying to log on to the internet with my ipad through a Netgear router but have forgotten the password. I know the network name. Is there a programme I can access to retrieve this information or is it possible to change the password?
netgear answers:
Unless you've changed the default password, it's normally found on the back of the wifi router.
John asks…
can i set up my netgear router without a modem.?
i use a prepaid dodo mobile wireless broadband internet stick for my internet, and i was wondering if i can set up my wireless router (netgear wireless router wgr614 v7) to work without a modem. i want to be able to get wifi in my room atleast, so i can use wifi on my wifi only ipad.
the router was used on an older computer a while back and i've resetted it because i didn't know any of the old passwords n things.
so... is this possible n if so how...?
netgear answers:
If you can plug your stick into your router instead of your computer it should work. It all depends on if the plug is compatible with the stick or not.
You will need to reset your router back to factory settings if you don't remember the passwords.
William asks…
My Netgear Router's wireless activity light "I" keeps blinking green.needs to be a blue and green and steady?
My laptop, iPhone, and Ipad will not pick up my wifi signal anymore. I know it has worked perfectly before. Now that I look at the router the wireless activity light "I" is blinking green. I am pretty sure it should be a blue and green steady light. Please I could use some help! thanks!
I have the connection locked.
netgear answers:
It can not be steady blue and green at the same time. And most wireless lights will flicker from random wireless activity locally. Did you have it secured? If not someone could have taken over the router and changed its' SSID.
